Suspected COVID-19 case in Hakea Prison as worries grow over vaccination rollout for prisoners - WAtoday
Hakea Prison had its first genuinely suspected case of COVID-19 after an inmate was transferred to the Canning Vale facility on Wednesday night, which has since been downgraded to a false positive.
Staffing shortages are a major issue in most of our prisons and if prison officers are forced to isolate or become ill from contracting the virus, it could become impossible to run a prison safely.
